Most people in China still live in towns or villages in the countryside.

They usually have more space in their houses than the people who live in the cities.

China's cities are very crowded.

Many people live in tiny spaces, with just one or two rooms.  Many houses are built around a courtyard.

Some houses do not have a faucet, so people have to collect their water from a well.
