TRAVEL
By Nathan, Max, and Danny K.
Many people believe that the Chinese invented the compass. This is a tool that helps people figure out the direction they are going.

One of the most common ways for people to travel in China is riding a bicycle. China has been called "The Kingdom of Bicycles," because no matter what the weather is like, people cycle to work, school, and other places. People ring the bells on their bicycles to warn pedestrians, other bicyclists, and drivers that they are coming.

Riverboats are used to move people and carry goods across the country.

Many years ago, a man in China created a cart that had only one wheel. Today we use this wheelbarrow to move dirt, stones, and many other things.
